Boers

Our girls are unregistered, high percentage boers that have done well in 4H showing at our county and also Iowa State Fair.

Our two 3 year old twin does are Rosie and JoJo, these two are big solid girls and we were very happy with the doe-buck twins that JoJo gave us February 15th, 2018 and  Rosie gave us a late handsome buck kid in April 2018. Both are hopefully bred for 2019 kids!

The 2017 triplets from Mama J (Rosie & JoJo’s mamma) grew great! The two girls (Matilda & Amelia)  were very solid like their big sisters and the wether was middle weight champion market weather at our County fair. The does did great at County Fair with both of them ending up in the top of their class. State Fair was exciting with Amelia placing 4th in her class!  Amelia is the only 2017 kid we kept and she has continued to look great and is hopefully bred for a 2019 kidding.

We added two 2018 fall born does to our herd the end of December. Sophie is a sweet red doe that we hope will add a bit of color and size to our herd. And the gorgeous dapple is Skittles, she came from a solid red doe and big, wide red dapple buck. We are looking forward to seeing these two show at fairs and how they produce with our new buck!

I am very excited to be in the process if purchasing a great new buck for our girls! He was born December 2018 and as of now he doesn’t have a name, we will be looking at his parents’ registration papers to choose a good name for him. He has some great breeding in his line- with multiple Ennobled designations in the last 4 generations on his dam and sire’s paperwork. Below is a picture of our future herd sire.
